Supposedly the Best Croissant in Boston?
π Lakon Paris Patisserie Iβve seen this place all over Xiaohongshu and Instagram, so expectations were high. While it seems more aligned with Asian-French fusion than traditional French patisserie, the sweetness level has clearly gone full American. I arrived at 5 PM, and the shelves were almost empty β maybe thatβs why the pastries felt a bit stale, lacking that fresh, flaky crispness. Though slightly disappointed, Iβd still come back another day for their Basque cheesecake. π Strawberry Cheesecake Croissant β $9.50 Topped with a strawberry-chocolate glaze and filled with a cheesecake center that tasted like a mix of yogurt and cream cheese, with a hint of strawberry jam. Sadly, it was way too sweet and rich β no wonder a whole row was still sitting there late in the day. The only saving grace? The dough itself had good texture and layers. π΅ Strawberry Matcha Danish β $8.50 This one was better. Not dried strawberries β likely canned β paired with matcha cream that leaned slightly bitter, balancing the sweet custard. Still, the syrup glaze pushed it back into sugary territory. A mixed experience. Maybe an early visit would help β but for now, my search for the perfect croissant in Boston continues. #BostonEats #BostonFood #BostonBakeries #CroissantReview #LakonParis #BostonCafe #FoodieBoston
