It’s one of the best nearby spots to experience nature and wildlife up close. The warmer the weather, the more animals come out to play! 🐢🦆🐇 On a good day, you might spot: Alligators 🐊 (very common here!) Various waterbirds (herons, egrets, and more) Turtles… or even a softshell turtle (which my friend called “that weird flat turtle” 😂) Rabbits hopping near the trails! I’ve even seen an alligator crossing the path right in front of me! But don’t worry – they generally won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. Just keep a respectful distance and enjoy the view. 🎫 Admission & Tips By car: $5 per vehicle (super affordable!) On foot: Technically $2 per person – but there’s often no one collecting fees.
