🌿 Sweetwater Wetlands Park

Gainesville may not have everything, but one thing it definitely doesn’t lack is parks — they’re practically everywhere you turn! Even so, Sweetwater Wetlands Park still managed to completely amaze me today. 🌾🪷 As a wetland park, the views here are incredibly open and expansive. If you go around sunrise or sunset, you can take in sweeping views that stretch for miles. 🦩🐊🦢 The diversity of wildlife — especially birds and dragonflies — is stunning! The boardwalk stretches deep into the wetlands, letting you get an up-close experience with nature. Within just one minute of entering, we spotted a large alligator 🐊 and even saw a little bird catching fish to feed its babies! 🐦‍⬛➡️🐟 ⚠️ But remember — don’t get too close! Wild animals can be dangerous. 📸 Love photography? Don’t forget to bring a telephoto lens!
