Tacoma Indian Cuisine, Japanese Food & Cozy Cabin Stay
π Tandoori Grill Stopped by after visiting Mt. Rainier β super delicious Indian food! ποΈπ The restaurant was full of Indian locals (always a good sign!). Must-tries: Lamb Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan! π§π€ Everything was incredibly flavorful. Portions are generous β we had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day ππ¦ Highly recommend! π Maneki A historic spot thatβs been around since WWII! π Made a reservation in advance β the unagi don (eel rice bowl) was pretty good π±π, served with bamboo shoots and carrots. The rice was soft and warm, though it took 20-30 mins to prepare. The cod appetizer was a bit salty (felt like a drinking snack πΆ). Solid, but not mind-blowing β 80/100! π Taan Thai Cookery Found this family-run Thai place in North Bend after hiking Franklin Falls π₯Ύπ². Cozy, affordable, and tasty! Most nearby options were pizza, fried chicken, or American/Greek food, so this was a nice Asian alternative πβ€οΈ. π New Red Cedar Cabin π‘ Not a restaurant, but an amazing Airbnb stay! The host makes incredible lemon muffins ππ§ (I usually donβt like lemon flavor, but hers were moist, not too sweet β perfect!). At night, she sets up a bonfire π₯ where you can roast marshmallows and make sβmores. In the morning, enjoy coffee and muffins βπ. The backyard has a small creek β so peaceful and relaxing! Around $220/night. π Danbo Ramen Came here thanks to recommendations! πβ€οΈ Arrived right at opening (11:30 AM) β no wait. The ramen was tasty and fairly priced. Good, but maybe not worth a long line! Ready to eat your way through Tacoma and beyond?
