Texas Renaissance Festival

I heard the Texas Renaissance Festival is one of the largest in the country—and it definitely lives up to the hype! 🎪 The festival runs from October 7 to November 26, with a different theme each week (check the official website for details—I’ve included screenshots in 🖼️). Pick a theme that excites you! 🎟️ Tickets: Buy online in advance—it’s cheaper than at the gate and lets you scan right in. We went during 1001 Dreams weekend, and everyone dressed as fairies, elves, and mystical creatures . The NPCs (non-playable characters, but very much playable here!) were absolutely stunning—loved every bit of it! 🗺️ Getting Around: The festival grounds are huge! I’ve included a map in 🗺️. There are tons of fun activities like archery 🏹, tomato throwing, animal feeding , and even elephant rides 🐘—most cost around $5 per try, so bring cash! 🎭 Shows & Entertainment: Most performances are free! Check the entertainment schedule on the website for showtimes. My top picks: Fire Whip Show 🔥 Solar Rain Royal Fireworks 🎆 Many shows run multiple times a day, but the fire show and fireworks happen only once daily—get to the Arena early to snag a good spot! 🍗 Food & Drinks: Plenty of options, and most vendors accept cards or Apple Pay. You can’t leave without trying the giant turkey leg 🦃! Also, don’t miss the delicious cheesecake 🍰—I think it was near the big wooden carousel 🎠. 🚗 Transportation & Parking: Navigate to 📍FM1774—staff will guide you from there. Parking options: Free general parking Paid preferred parking Valet parking To avoid traffic, try to arrive before 11 AM or leave before the 8 PM rush. We left after the fireworks and spent an hour just getting out of the parking lot… 🧥 Pro Tips: Evenings get chilly in the fall—bring a light jacket if you’re staying for the fireworks! Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes—most paths are unpaved and dusty. Come with an open heart and ready for fun—you’re about to step into another world! Wishing everyone an unforgettable time at the Texas Renaissance Festival! #US #Texas #Houston
