The Atlanta History Museum (with a focus on the legacy of the Kings)
The so - called history museum mainly showcases introductions to Martin Luther King Sr. and his son Martin Luther King Jr., as well as the contributions their family made to the emancipation of slaves and the elevation of the status of Black people. Martin Luther King Jr., in particular, dedicated his entire life to fighting for the rights of Black people. As a pastor, he conducted spiritual baptisms for Black individuals, enhancing their understanding of the world. Especially during their interactions with white people, he encouraged them to take responsibility for their own lives. President Jimmy Carter, who lived in Georgia, joined forces with Martin Luther King Jr. to speak up for Black people, providing them with opportunities for work and education, advocating for the principle that everyone is equal in the face of human rights ๐ค. To commemorate them forever, the local government built this museum. In fact, it also tells the development story of Atlanta, which is why it's called the "History Museum". Surrounding the museum, there are a church, gift shops, Freedom Hall, the coffins of Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife placed in the middle of a huge pool, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (where there are footprints of celebrities), a park, and more ๐ณ.
