The Best Korean Meal I've Had in the Past Two Months
The best Korean meal I've had in the past two months has to go to DAQ! From the environment to the food and drinks, there were no disappointments throughout the entire experience. Environment : Their place is very clean and spacious. The graffiti on the walls gives off a cozy izakaya vibe, and the photos on display show that the owner must be quite a character. Drinks : We ordered the Summer Peach and the Espresso Martini. The Summer Peach is amazing β not overly sweet but with a rich peach flavor. It's definitely a must-try. The Espresso Martini has a very strong coffee taste. Food : I chatted with one of the servers and learned that their chicken is limited in quantity every day to ensure the freshness of the ingredients. 1οΈβ£ Uni Bibimbap : The sea urchin in this dish is from Japan. Although it's not very big, it's incredibly fresh and flavorful. Since this type of bibimbap can be a bit greasy, they added some pickled vegetables to cut through the richness. I also made my own hand rolls with the nori on the side. π₯’ 2οΈβ£ Spicy Braised Chicken Feet : These chicken feet are so tender that they practically melt in your mouth without needing to chew. The flavor is a mix of sweet and spicy, and it's just delicious. β¨ 3οΈβ£ Cheese Bul-DAQ : There's so much cheese! π§ My husband loved this. The cheese is freshly baked on-site. The chicken underneath is super tender, and the seasoning is just right β a bit sweet and savory with a hint of spiciness. The combination with the cheese is perfect. Make sure to eat it while it's hot. 4οΈβ£ Yu-Rin-Gi : Compared to the other dishes, this one is a bit lighter. It's not quite the same as traditional Korean sweet and sour chicken. The chicken is coated with a slightly sweet batter that has a hint of cheese powder. It's delicious even without the sauce, with a crispy texture. #DallasFoodie #DallasKoreanCuisine #DallasRestaurant #DallasIzakaya
