The Best Paella Near Sagrada Família 🥘

This restaurant is in a great location. After visiting the Sagrada Família, we were super hungry, and it was drizzling, so we chose El Glop Gaudí. As soon as we walked in, we noticed it was full of Asian faces—proof that the flavors suit Asian tastes! 🥘 Paella The rice isn’t overly hard—the texture is just right. The tomato flavor is well-balanced, not too sour, and the seafood is very fresh. The only downside is that it’s a bit salty, but overall, it’s highly recommended. (PS: You can order a single portion! Make sure to ask the server. Some have said it’s not possible, but we managed to—maybe it depends on the server.) 🐙 Grilled Octopus Tentacle The octopus itself is quite bland and relies heavily on the sauce and fruit for flavor. It’s a Spanish classic, but not my favorite—so I wouldn’t recommend it. 🍈 Jamón with Melon You can’t visit Spain without trying jamón! The combination of cured ham and melon is perfect. Their melon is incredibly sweet, and the ham isn’t too salty—absolutely a must-order! We walked in without a reservation—there are plenty of tables. The staff were super friendly, and it’s just a few minutes from the Sagrada Família, making it a great post-sightseeing meal spot. #WillRepeat #BarcelonaEats #UKStudyAbroad #BritishStudentsTravel
