The Best Places to Visit in Auckland! A One-Day Power Walk Itinerary!

Day 1 Arrived in Auckland in the morning ☀️, dropped off luggage at the hotel , and immediately started power-walking mode! 📍 Hotel → Mount Eden ⛰️ This is an easy little hill to climb, taking about half an hour . The volcanic crater is quite unique! However, on the first day, we experienced Auckland’s ever-changing weather—sunny one second , pouring rain the next . So, note: Always bring an umbrella! 📍 Auckland University → Albert Park → Auckland Art Gallery Auckland University is an open-campus school 🏛️ and not very large. Since it was holiday season , we mostly just strolled around. The standout building is the clock tower ⏰. Right next to the university are Albert Park and the Auckland Art Gallery , just a 10-minute walk away. Both are quite small, so we breezed through them quickly! 💨 📍 Queen Street A 15-minute walk from the art gallery took us to Auckland’s CBD , filled with malls and luxury stores . Since we weren’t in a shopping mood, we mainly just walked around. 🚶‍♀️ 📍 Devonport ⛴️ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! At the end of Queen Street, cross the road to reach a ferry terminal —just tap your Visa card for easy access. Head straight to the open-air top deck for an incredible ocean view! After disembarking, we hiked up Victoria Hill where the scenery was equally stunning! We didn’t stay for sunset or night views since it was too late 🌇. On the way back, we tried the viral restaurant Occidental —decent, but nothing extraordinary. #Auckland #NewZealand #NewZealandTravel ✈️🌏
