The Best Yakitori I've Had Lately in SD
As an LA local, I make sure to visit this yakitori spot every time I'm in San Diego. Their chicken dishes are a whole level above their other meat options. The yakitori comes with house-made pastes, like yuzu and mustard, for dippingâadding more depth to the flavors. â Must-Order: Chicken thigh Chicken skin Karaage In my opinion, the beef tongue and chicken gizzard are also excellent! Additionally, the ochazuke (tea-soaked rice) is warm and comforting. The restaurant often features weekly specials, which sometimes include pork belly or chickenâthough I canât quite remember the exact names. Theyâre tasty, though. Iâve brought many friends here, and everyone has consistently loved it. The place is also filled with San Diego Padres-themed decor. đYokohama Yakitori Koubou Tucked in a corner of the plaza, they donât seem to take reservations. Every time I go in the evening, Iâve had to wait 20+ minutes. If you can, try to arrive earlier. #Yakitori #SanDiego #SanDiegoFood #SD #CaliforniaFood #CozyIzakaya #SanDiegoTravel
