⛪️ The Breathtaking Beauty of Sagrada Família in Light and Shadow

🧡💛 "There are only two kinds of churches in the world: Sagrada Família and the others." The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, also known as Sagrada Família, was designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926). Construction began on March 19, 1882, and Gaudí took over as chief architect in 1883, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau, and dedicating the rest of his life to this project. The genius designer Gaudí was born in 1852 in Reus, a small Catalan town near Barcelona. He had a desire to become an architect from a young age, but his ideas were different. He didn't want to "invent" architecture; he wanted to "design" it by imitating nature. He wrote in his diary, "Only a madman would try to depict something that does not exist in the world!" Gaudí was a representative figure of the plastic architecture school in the modernist architectural style. His designs integrated elements of Eastern Islamic Moorish style, modernism, and naturalism, creating an unexpected and unique style and visual feast. The devout Christian Gaudí once said, "Straight lines belong to men, curves belong to God," and thus, all of Gaudí's architectural works are created and expressed with curves. ⬇️ Travel Tips 🕐 Recommended Time: Be sure to check the weather forecast and choose a sunny afternoon after 3 pm to experience the colorful and splendid Sagrada Família under the light and shadow until sunset. 📷 Photography Spots: Inside Sagrada Família (following the changes of light), in front of the church at Gaudí Square, and at the rooftop bar of a nearby hotel where you can take a photo with the star-topped towers of the church. 🏬 Souvenir Shop: In the museum on the underground first floor to the left after exiting from the Passion façade of the church. Small candle holder fridge magnets cost around 10.95€, and three-part fridge magnets are around 20€. Be sure to buy them before leaving the main entrance! Because without a ticket, you cannot directly enter the souvenir shop! #FunAndLeisure #CulturalLandscapeSharing #Barcelona #BarcelonaSagradaFamília #SagradaFamília #SagradaFamíliaPhotography #SagradaFamíliaFridgeMagnets
