The first bite made me realize that all the Hainanese Chicken Rice

I've had before was just... wrong. 😱 Belacan Grill, a hidden gem of a Malaysian restaurant tucked away in an unassuming plaza in Tustin, serves a Hainanese Chicken Rice that has completely blown my mind and my dining partner's mind for 80 years! I dare say it's the best Hainanese Chicken Rice in LA! Just one bite, and you'll know—everything else pales in comparison. 🍔 Even the half portion is pretty substantial. The chicken skin and meat are incredibly tender and flavorful, and even the three sauces that come with it are amazing. Besides the signature Hainan Chicken, the Lemongrass Seafood Soup is also fantastic—it feels like an upgraded version of Tom Yum. And let's not forget the Lychee Slush and Teh Tarik (Malay Milk Tea). I'm pretty sure there's nothing on the menu that could disappoint. Every dish is a delightful surprise! Unfortunately, my dining partner and I couldn't eat as much as we wanted.
