The George | An Elegant Dinner at a Classic Historic Hotel
🍁We brought a couple of friends who had never been to The George for dinner, and it certainly did not disappoint. The pan-seared salmon was cooked to perfection—crispy skin with moist flesh, served with tender asparagus. 🔹The onion-topped steak, prepared medium-rare, was juicy and paired with caramelized onions that offered just the right touch of sweetness. 🔹The ambiance reflects classic British elegance, with dark wood paneling and leather banquettes. 🍸The complimentary lemon water, infused with mint leaves, was more refreshing than many paid beverages at other restaurants. 🍸The staff even adjusted the table lighting when they noticed us taking photos—a thoughtful detail that stood out. 🍃The menu is thoughtfully designed, indicating the origin of each dish. We’ve heard the three-tiered afternoon tea tray is quite popular, especially the scones served with Devonshire cream. 🍃At $60–80 per person, the price is reasonable for a historic hotel, and it would make a perfect spot for anniversary celebrations. #HistoricHotel #BritishCuisine #Providence
