The homemade pasta is really strong and delicious
đ MDM Noodles: Bostonâs Renowned Handmade Pasta SpotâWorth the Trip for Dumpling Lovers Touted as Bostonâs âbest noodle shop,â this place has been on my radar for agesâbut wow, itâs far. Finally made the journey, and while itâs a solid spot for satisfying cravings, it doesnât quite beat some of the cityâs more iconic eateries. That said? When it comes to handmade pasta in Boston, itâs still in a league of its own (hit me up with other recs if you know better!). đ The Standout: Handmade Dumplings Carrot-Beef & Cabbage-Pork Dumplings đĽ: Obsessed. These are the real stars. Plump, juicy, and packed with fillingâyou can taste the freshness, especially since we caught them mid-prep and got ours ultra-fresh. I even bought 60 frozen ones to take home (no regrets). If you love dumplings, this alone justifies the trip. đ˛ Noodles: Decent, but Not Life-Changing Braised Noodle Soup (Hui Mian): A solid crave-fixer, loaded with toppings (meat, veggies, herbs). Itâs uniqueâeven non-Henan folks will enjoy itâbut Iâve had better versions in Toronto. Not quite authentic, but worth a try if youâre curious. Lamb Noodle Soup: Tender, meaty, and satisfying. The broth is rich, and thereâs plenty of lamb, but it paled in comparison to the hui mian (in my book, anyway). đ Skip These Rou Jia Mo (Meat Sandwich) & Lamb Skewers: The rou jia mo lacks that âwowâ factorâdryer than I hoped, with a bland bun. And the skewers? Nothing special. Iâm still chasing that Flushing (New York)magicâthose are the gold standard. đĄ Verdict For You If: Youâre obsessed with handmade dumplings or crave fresh, chewy noodles. The pasta here has a satisfying, toothsome texture (thicker than some, but in a good way) thatâs hard to find elsewhere in Boston. Maybe Skip If: Youâre short on time or not into thick, hearty noodlesâdistance-wise, itâs a commitment. đ MDM Noodles: Worth it for the dumplings, even with the commute. Neighbors, count yourselves luckyâyouâve got a gem nearby. #BostonNoodles #HandmadeDumplings #FoodieCraving
