The Little Island Loved by HipstersโNaoshima ๐๏ธ๐
Recently, BBC has listed "25 Places to Visit in 2025," and Naoshima is the only destination in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต to make the cut. ๐๏ธ๐ This island is not only home to several art museums and installations but also serves as the main stage for the Setouchi Triennale, making it incredibly charming and unique. ๐จ When it comes to the symbol of Naoshima, it has to be Yayoi Kusama's iconic sculpture "Pumpkin." When you take the ferry to Miyanoura Port, you'll spot the striking red polka-dot pumpkin as you approach the harbor. ๐๏ธ๐ Another very famous one, the yellow pumpkin that once "escaped" due to a typhoon, is located on the other side of the island. Against the backdrop of the blue sea and sky, it looks incredibly fresh and natural. Every casual shot here is just perfect. ๐ ๐๏ธ๐It's worth noting that to avoid being blown away by typhoons again, the yellow pumpkin might be removed and stored safely when the weather is bad. ๐ฉ๏ธ #Japan ๐#JapanTravel ๐ฟ#Naoshima ๐๏ธ
