The Luxe Grocery Store Has Arrived in South Bay! And It’s So Spacious!

As we mentioned last time—life in South Bay is looking up~ Erewhon has finally brought its luxurious healthy lifestyle to Manhattan Beach! 🥑 As a loyal Erewhon fan, of course I had to check it out on opening week—to see how new, how expensive, and how Instagrammable it really is! And wow, it’s seriously huge!! After all, we’ve got more space out here than in the city. This plaza also has REI and Trader Joe’s, so it’s definitely worth a trip! 🛍️ Drink Wall & Smoothie Bar: A dopamine explosion! From colorful canned beverages to a whole wall of glass-bottle juices, coconut milk, and sparkling water—it’s basically color therapy in grocery form! This time I tried the Vacation Sunscreen and the Hailey Bieber Smoothie—so trendy! But seriously, so pricey… I regret it every time I buy one 😂 Someone bring me back to affordable boba and artificial flavors, haha! 🥤💸 Pizza Lover’s Heaven: You might just fall in love with expensive pizza here! Who knew you could get stone-oven pizza fresh in a grocery store? They use a traditional stone oven and high-temperature wood fire—crispy crust, soft inside, with toppings like truffle mushroom, kale, and feta cheese. It looks as expensive as it tastes, and honestly? It’s worth it. 🍕 Hot Food Section & Sushi Zone The hot bar is super clean, with freshly stir-fried Korean japchae noodles, chicken wings, sandwiches, sliders, roasted veggies, chicken pot pie… The sushi counter is also a highlight! Options like avocado salmon rolls and spicy tuna rolls are all low-oil, low-sugar, and some are even labeled SUGAR FREE. The chilled section also has poke bowls, salad cups, and summer fruit boxes—perfect for a beach picnic! 🍱🏖️ Cheese & Charcuterie From French fromage to aged Italian cheeses, they even offer their own branded Cheese Board, complete with grapes, dried figs, pistachios, nuts, and honey dip. 🧀🍯 And of course, you can’t miss the iconic luxury shelves: from protein powder and grass-fed butter to coconut yogurt, plant-based milk, and even Wagyu beef snacks for dogs 🐶—yes, it says Wagyu! Even the laundry strips, hand soap, and egg cartons feel upscale! There’s also a small retail section with Erewhon-branded merch: minimalist water bottles, protein shakers, hoodies, and tote bags.
