🍁 The Most Beautiful Autumn Town Near Adelaide Has Been Found!

Autumn is here! While everyone’s rushing to Hahndorf and Stirling for maple leaves 🍁, there are actually many gorgeous little towns in the Adelaide Hills with stunning fall scenery – fewer crowds and no parking stress! 🅿️ On our way back from a weekend camping trip, we passed through Birdwood and were completely captivated by the fiery red leaves lining the main street 🍂. Glowing in shades of orange and gold, it felt like walking into a giant oil painting 🖼️. Here are some must-visit spots in Birdwood 📷: 1️⃣ Torrens Valley Rd As you enter the town’s main street, you’ll be instantly enchanted by the red canopy 🍁. The trees near the post office are especially beautiful, and the area in front of the Top of the Torrens Gallery is super photogenic too! 2️⃣ The Fold Birdwood This charming café has several stunning pomegranate trees in its courtyard. Their golden leaves shimmer under the sunlight 💛, and the fruit-covered branches are simply magical. We tried their pear yogurt bowl 🍐 – so perfect for autumn! 3️⃣ Peerless Roller Mills A historic granary built in 1887 🍠. There’s a magnificent tree near it that’s now completely red – an ideal photo backdrop 🍂. 4️⃣ National Motor Museum A famous antique car museum (possibly the largest in SA!). The trees near the parking lot 🅿️ look like something out of a fairytale – this must be what “layers of forest dyed in autumn hues” truly means 🫶. #EmbraceNature #Adelaide #AdelaideEats #LifeInAustralia #WeekendGetaway #SlowTravel #AdelaideTravel #ExploreAustralia #GoldenWeekEscapes #OffTheBeatenPath
