The Most Famous Dim Sum in Quincy, Boston

Today was my first time in Quincy trying this super popular dim sum spot—Ming Seafood Restaurant! 🥢 It’s about a 25-minute drive from downtown Boston. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere instantly transported me back to China 😂—the decor totally resembles a classic old-school dim sum banquet hall! At that moment, I knew it was going to be good. Four of us girls ordered everything in the pictures plus a durian puff, and we finished almost all of it. The cost was around $33 per person. The biggest surprise was their Portuguese egg tart!! 😍 It was SO delicious—one bite and I was blown away. The crust was super flaky, and the filling was incredibly soft and tender, almost like a lava flow, with a rich creamy flavor! The Minion custard buns were also amazing! 🍞💛 I thought they were just cute for the 'gram, but the custard filling was generous, and the bun itself was perfectly moist—absolutely legit! The steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce were so tender that the meat fell off the bone easily. 🍖 The red rice rolls with crispy shrimp were one of the dishes I was most excited about. Although the crispy layer inside wasn’t as crunchy as the ones I’ve had in China, they were still really good! The shrimp inside were plump and juicy, and paired with that sweet-salty sesame sauce—perfection! 🦐 The satay beef tripe was very tender—each piece melted in the mouth without any chewiness. The crystal shrimp dumplings had a thin, delicate skin that was just right—not too soft nor too firm. They totally outshined the shrimp dumplings I’ve tried in Chinatown! 🥟 As for the shrimp rice rolls, fried milk, BBQ pork buns, chicken feet, and durian puffs—they were solid and tasty, though not particularly standout. Still, definitely not disappointing! After eating, we conveniently walked next door to the 99 Ranch Market to digest while grocery shopping. Perfect hahaha! 🛒 Overall, I’ll definitely be back! Next time, I’m excited to try their Cantonese dishes! #DimSum #Boston #BostonLife #BostonFoodExploration #QuincyEats #BostonChineseFood #InternationalStudentEats
