The Oklahoma City Museum of Art’s ocean isn’t vast enough to wander~~
💕Oklahoma City Museum of Art After a 10-minute walk from the National Memorial Museum, I arrived at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a towering glass art piece by Chihuly. Could this be the same piece I saw at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts? Or is this another Chihuly work collected by this museum? 💕The first piece I saw was Rodin’s sculpture of three spirits from the Gates of Hell, enlarged and displayed alone. So impressive! I thought to myself, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art must have some good stuff. But then… there wasn’t much else that was noteworthy. 💕Next, I saw a special exhibition of Picasso and got excited. But upon entering, it was a display of the color process of Picasso’s prints. There were only 3 complete prints in total, and considering Picasso created over 20,000 print works in his lifetime, it felt a bit underwhelming. 💕Then I came across a gallery filled with Chihuly’s works, which was pretty decent. However, since I’ve visited Chihuly’s collection and another Chihuly exhibition before, his works mostly look the same~~ 💕In summary, the collection at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art isn’t considered outstanding. #ArtGalleryRecommendations #WhereToGoOnTheWeekend
