The Perfect Stop for Lunch

🌿La Picadera Bar & Restaurant We stumbled upon this Latin-style restaurant while our cruise ship was docked, just a ten-minute walk from the port. The white exterior with blue window frames stood out, and there was always a line at the door. ☀️The restaurant was really busy, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. Although they were very friendly and polite, the service was quite slow, which took away from the experience. 💗My friends and I ordered the signature fried plantains and stewed beef. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the rice soaked up the sauce perfectly. 🍸To our surprise, the server, noticing we were tourists, even gave us a complimentary serving of fried pork rinds, which tasted delicious with the spicy sauce. 🌈The food itself was decent—nothing spectacular or particularly memorable. After enjoying some truly great Puerto Rican cuisine elsewhere, this meal felt just okay. 🍐The prices were reasonable, though.
