The Restaurant You Could Eat at Every Day | Madison Food Guide

Poke Plus on State Street I’ve literally had poke here for lunch seven days in a row – no joke! Highly recommend trying it 🥗💚 🥣 How to Build Your Poke Bowl (Step-by-Step): 1️⃣ Choose bowl size (determines how many proteins you can pick). 2️⃣ Pick your base: White rice, brown rice, greens, or mix them (I love half rice half greens!). 3️⃣ Select toppings: You can choose multiple – don’t be shy to ask for more if the portion looks small! 4️⃣ Choose protein: All are pretty fresh! Raw options: fresh salmon, poke tuna, etc. Cooked: shrimp, chicken, tofu, baby octopus 🍤🐙 My go-to: fresh salmon + poke tuna + shrimp (tofu is great too!) 5️⃣ Sauce time: Light & natural: Poke sauce Sweet & rich: Eel or sweet chili Bold: Sweet wasabi (quite strong!) 6️⃣ Garnish: Seaweed, tempura crunch, sesame – I always go with seaweed! 🌊 💡 Pro tip: Eat in if you can! The street view is nice 🏙️, and takeaway bowls can get soggy. Just say “no lid” when dining in. 🔥 But wait… there’s more! They also serve teriyaki bowls – don’t miss them! 🍱 Beef Donburi (with tempura shrimp!) 🍱 Classic teriyaki chicken or beef rice bowls 📍 Poke Plus Madison 615 State St, Madison, WI 53703 Perfect for a fresh, healthy, and customizable meal – never gets boring! 🥢🍣 #Madison #PokeBowl #HealthyEating #UWMadison #StateStreetEats #FoodieReview
