The Seto Inland Sea Must - Visit Naoshima: An Art Paradise! π (1)
Naoshima, the "Mecca of Contemporary Art," is a must - visit destination in the Seto Inland Sea. ππΈ Here, you can find works by world - class artists and experience the harmony between art and nature. πΏ Transportation Options: π’ 1οΈβ£ Takamatsu - Naoshima: Purchase a ticket for the 8:12 - 9:02 Miyaura Line ferry; round - trip tickets are more cost - effective. The last ferry departs at 17:00. 2οΈβ£ Exploring Naoshima: Rent an electric bicycle. Rental Location: Across the street from Miyaura Port, there are several shops. I chose Ougiya Rent - a - Cycle. I recommend booking in advance on their official website (just Google the shop). The reservation is free, and it costs 1200 yen per day. ππΈ Bicycle Tour Route: π² Pick up your bike - Red Pumpkin - (15 - minute ride) - Chichu Art Museum - (5 - minute ride) - Lee Ufan Museum (I didn't visit, but recommend including it) - (20 - minute ride) - Yellow Pumpkin - (7 - minute walk) - Hiroshi Sugimoto's Time Corridor - (10 - minute walk) - Benesse House Museum - (30 - minute ride) - back to the pier. ππΈSince cycling is not allowed on the route from Lee Ufan to Time Corridor to Benesse House, I skipped these spots to save walking time and rode directly from Chichu Art Museum to the Yellow Pumpkin before starting my tour. π #Japan π
