The Space Shuttle Endeavour Will Be Open in Two Years 🚀😂
The California Science Center is free and no reservations are needed—it's the perfect place for a spontaneous visit with kids. Opening Hours: The California Science Center is usually open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Parking Fee: $20 per day, and $18 per day at the Natural History Museum next door. 🚗 Located in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, the Science Center is one of the largest science centers on the West Coast of the United States. It is adjacent to the Natural History Museum, allowing you to visit both museums in one day. There is also a rose garden in between. 🌹 The Science Center features multiple exhibition areas, covering life sciences, ecosystems, creative technology, and aviation and space. Main Exhibits: Life World: Through five themed areas, it introduces the commonalities of various living organisms from bacteria to humans, including the replication and transmission of genetic information, human defense mechanisms, and the circulatory system. 🌱 Creative World: It showcases how humans use technology to meet the needs of transportation, communication, and construction industries, covering the creation processes of products like electronic imaging, solar-powered cars, and earthquake-resistant buildings. 🛠️ Ecosystems: With an immersive experience, it displays around 400 species of plants and animals, as well as natural environments like forests, rivers, islands, deserts, polar regions, and the deep sea. 🌳🌊 Air and Space: It covers aviation and airplanes, space travel, planetary exploration, and stargazing. 🌠 Additionally, there is an IMAX theater across from the Science Center, offering multimedia films to enrich your visit. This requires a separate ticket. 🎬 But the most spectacular part here is the Space Shuttle Endeavour, which was brought here in 2012. Its permanent exhibit hall, the Samuel Oschin Pavilion, is still under construction and will display the shuttle in a vertical launch position—previously it was displayed horizontally. I asked the staff and they said it might take around two years to be completed and open to the public... Well, two years... 😅 #ExploreMuseums #ContemporaryArtAndUrbanPlanning #LosAngeles #Museum #LosAngelesTravel
