The top ten hikes near Regina
ππWe set off from Richmond at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at Hope Town, also known as the Woodcarving Town, after about 2 hours.π΅ It was a cloudy βοΈday, and the whole town was shrouded in mist, looking ethereal and quite beautiful.ππ After having lunch in Hope, we originally planned to go to Manning Park to see groundhogs. π π However, the mobile phone navigation lost signal on the way π±, which led us to take a wrong turn. So we went straight to Kelowna. π£π£ Here's a reminder β οΈ: there is no mobile phone signal near Manning Park, so it's recommended to input the route into the car navigation in advance or memorize it.π¦π¦ In the afternoon, upon arriving in Kelowna, we first checked in at the hotel and then went for a walk along the seaside π¦οΈπ¦οΈin the downtown area. βΊοΈβΊοΈ In the evening, we visited wineries. Mission Hill looked quite upscale, but we were told that we needed to make a reservation for wine tasting to enter the entire property. ππ ππThen we went to the nearby Quails' Gate, which had no restrictions and allowed free visits, making it a great spot for taking photos and checking in. ππ There is a restaurant ππin the winery (reservation in advance is required).π Early in the morning,βοΈβοΈ we headed to Kangroo Creek Farm. It happened to be the first day of the high peak season, so the ticket price for four people was $30π° more than the previous day [smiling face with crescent eyes], and the opening time was also advanced to 9 a.m.π€οΈ I mainly came to pet capybaras. There were many of them, and they were so nice to touch. ππ It's still recommended to come early in the morning βοΈwhen there are fewer people. After that, we went to the nearby Penticton, the Peach Town, to take photos with the big peach π. Their peach-flavored ice cream π¦was incredibly delicious, not too sweet, with pieces of peach flesh. Highly recommended! We happened to encounter an event in the town, and it felt like the whole town's people came out for the fair.ποΈποΈ Next was one of the must-visit destinations of this trip: picking cherries!ππ We went to Steven's Farm ππΌin Osoyoos, which was recommended online. As expected, it was a popular online hotspot,π± with cars parked all around the entrance. There were swarms of mosquitoes π¦. After picking for a short while, I already had more than a dozen bites on my body.β The big ones were not many and needed to be lookedποΈποΈ for specifically. It was also very hot. Since we were going back to our homeπ‘π‘ country in a few days, we didn't pick many. Yellow cherries were $4 per pound, and red cherries were $3 per pound. At that time, due to the fatigue from the journey, the heat, and the mosquitoes, I felt my stomach sour and thought they were just so-so. π£π£ ππBut after putting them in the refrigerator and chilling them, their sweetness increased the next day, and they tasted better. There are many fruit stands along the way where you can buy cherries at roughly the same price, but they are definitely not as good as the ones you pick yourself π. On the way back, we passed through Manning Park and navigated to Lightning Lake.π¦οΈπ¦οΈ There were groundhogs everywhere, super cute, just like in the "Whack-a-Mole" game, popping out here and there. π΅π΅ They looked at you with eager eyes,π made sounds, and waited to be fed. π The scenery by the lake was also very nice, but it was a bit coldβοΈ, so remember to bring an extra piece of clothing. Experience of electric carπ self-driving tour: Our car had a decent range. πEvery time we went around eating and sightseeing, we would charge it for more than ten minutes. β‘β‘ π£β€οΈAlmost every town has charging piles, but the charging speed varies. It would be more convenient if it were a Tesla (with more charging piles and faster speed).ππ #Yellowknife #Aurora #Lighthouse #Nightview
