They Say Taos Is Like Santa Fe 20 Years Ago 🌵✨

Here’s why Taos won my heart — a mix of deep history, raw nature, and unforgettable flavors: 🏺 Taos Pueblo The $25 ticket is worth every penny. A local Pueblo guide shared stories of their traditional life and how they’ve preserved their culture through centuries of Spanish colonization and American influence. Bought a beautiful handmade Native necklace from a shop — the 65-year-old owner told me she’s never left Taos but has met people from all over the world. 🌍❤️ 🚐 Hotel Luna Mystica A vintage trailer hotel set under the vast desert sky — each trailer has its own name and vibe. A highlight of the trip: stark desert beauty, lonely cacti under the sun, and a sky full of stars at night. 🌌✨ 🌉 Rio Grande Gorge Bridge More impressive in person than in photos! Walking across the bridge as it sways lightly with passing cars — and looking down into the deep gorge — is both thrilling and dizzying. 😵‍💫 🥖 Bread Club Taos Cute cottage, but the baked goods were just okay. Not the best value. ☕ The Coffee Apothecary (next door) Loved the New Mexico-grown coffee options! Adorable, cozy interior. 🤎 🌮 Orlando’s Mexican Restaurant Must-try blue corn enchiladas — uniquely New Mexican and delicious! 🛏️ El Pueblo Lodge A beautiful, rustic-chic hotel right in Taos. Rooms have little porches and indoor fireplaces — so cozy! 🍽️ Lambert’s of Taos Fine dining without the NYC price tag! Impeccable service, elegant atmosphere, and lilies blooming on each table. A perfect end to our Taos nights. 🌸🍷 Taos is raw, real, and deeply magical — like stepping into a time capsule of culture and calm. #Taos #NewMexico #TravelDeeper #DesertVibes #CulturalHeritage #USRoadTrip
