This bowl of squid ink pasta is truly touching.
🌟I had no expectations when I walked into this Italian restaurant because I hadn’t really eaten anything amazing in East Seattle. But this place was unexpectedly pretty good 🙂 🌟Squid Ink Capalenil Di Mare Angel Hair Pasta - the tomato sauce is rich but not overpowering, and there’s a generous amount of seafood: mussels, clams, prawns, and squid. The pasta is cooked to the perfect texture, absorbing the sauce nicely and smelling divine. Dipping bread in the sauce is also delightful; the only downside is the portion size. 🌟The wagyu tartare was a bit ordinary, lacking the tender and smooth texture, and the baguette wasn’t crispy enough. It didn’t leave a strong impression and could be skipped. 🌟New York Steak - unexpectedly, the steak turned out to be the best dish of the day. USDA Prime, at $70, it had better be good or I’d be ready to flip the table. We chose a medium rare, which was very juicy and tender. But what impressed me the most was the seasoning, the peppercorn sauce, with a strong black pepper flavor, salty and spicy. 🌟The accompanying thin fries were also delicious. My roommate thinks it’s better than Daniel’s broiler, and while I’m not sure about that, the overall atmosphere is indeed chill, with a bit of a Le Crocodile vibe. #SeattleFood #SeattleItalianCuisine #EastSeattleFood #SeattleSteak #NorthAmericaStudyAbroad #SquidInkPasta #Pasta #SeattleDailyLife
