This Des Moines Restaurant Is Amazing
🥨This is a spot I keep coming back to. The menu changes from time to time, and while the quality can be inconsistent, when they’re good, they really stand out. It had been a while since my last visit, so I decided to stop by again. 🍧For snacks, I tried the fried brie—a classic American favorite, though it didn’t exceed my expectations. 🍺It was just okay. I’d personally recommend the fried tofu bites instead. For the main course, this time most options were sandwiches and toasts. ✨There weren’t many non-burger choices, so I went with the Italiano Cubano, which came with pickles, roasted pork, garlic aioli, salami, and cheese. The bread was quite hard and average in quality. The food here is fairly American-style, so sometimes it really hits the spot for local tastes. The drink menu focuses on lighter options rather than strong liquors, but ID checks are a must. 🍮 I tried two drinks: the Yellow King and the Oh Yes. I highly recommend the berry-based Oh Yes—it’s super refreshing and tangy. ✏️Name: Lua Brewing. Address: 1525 High St, Des Moines, IA 50309 #LifeInTheUSA #Iowa #DesMoines
