Did you know there’s a secret tiki bar above the World Famous Tail o’ the Pup in West Hollywood? Located at what was formerly the 1970 workshop and recording studio of the band The Doors, The Lucky Tiki is a delightful speakeasy-style tiki bar just waiting for you to stumble upon it. How do I find it? ----------------- To find The Lucky Tiki, go to the Tail o’ the Pup off Santa Monica Blvd and look for the red door on the patio . Next to the red door, you should see a dolly full of recent deliveries and a pickle barrel . That barrel actually has a door on its side and if you open it, you’ll find a small speaker with a butto n. When you press it, a Lucky Tiki host will respond. If you have a reservation, or they have any of their limited spots available, you should be able to walk right on in! What do they serve? ------------------- Their limited food menu offers egg rolls, coconut shrimp, the Lucky Tiki Hawaiian Hot Dog, the full menu from Tail o’ the Pup, and more, and is available until 10pm. They also have an incredible (and theatrical) drink menu, including festive drinks like the Elvis In Hawaii and The Ghost of Jim Morrison, which all come in dramatic vessels – and sometimes a song from the bartenders. Do I need a reservation? ------------------------ While The Lucky Tiki does take a limited number of walk-ins, reservations are often booked a month out . There are only 44 seats in the establishment, with 34 of them available to book on Resy. Reservations can be booked up to 30 days in advance. Reservations become available at midnight on Resy every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
