This Vietnamese Broken Rice Spot is a Carb-Loverโs Dream ๐
After playing badminton today, we were stuck on where to eat. A friend suggested a Vietnamese restaurant theyโd bookmarked, and boy, were we glad we tried it! ๐ธ๐ This affordable, hearty, and delicious Southeast Asian meal is PERFECT for refueling after sports! I couldnโt wait to share it with you all! ๐ King Com Tam This place specializes in Broken Rice (called "Cฦกm Tแบฅm" in Vietnamese). The owner told us itโs one of Vietnamโs most iconic street foods, especially popular in Ho Chi Minh City! ๐๏ธ๐ It usually comes as a set meal, with the rice surrounded by a variety of side dishes. ๐๐๐ Must-Try Dishes Menu Item #16: King Com Tam Special Combo ๐๐๐๐๐ Absolutely delicious! You can choose pork or beef as the main sideโI personally recommend the pork. ๐โจ The other sides are super generous, including grilled shrimp, fried shrimp paste, shrimp balls, egg rolls, sausage, and moreโ10 sides in total! Everyone at the table couldnโt stop raving about it! ๐ Menu Item #15: King Com Tam Special ๐๐๐๐๐ Same concept as #16, but with 7 sides instead of 10. A cheaper option for those with smaller appetites! ๐ฝ๏ธ We also tried some pho, but it was just okay. ๐๐ Not worth recommending here. The broken rice is definitely the starโother classic Vietnamese dishes like pho are pretty average, even borderline bad. Iโd recommend this spot for those interested in authentic Vietnamese specialties! The ambiance is pretty basic and no-frills, though. ๐ #VietnameseFood #LosAngeles #LAFoodie #FoodieLife #LALife #LATravel #UnforgettableFoodExperience #HiddenGemEats #TreasureRestaurant
