Top 3 BBQ Joints in Kansas City?❗️😋
These three restaurants all have 4.6+ ratings from over 10,000 Google reviews. Ranked in order: Jack Stack takes first place, Joe’s comes second, and Q39 trails behind. 1. Jack Stack Barbecue Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We ordered the Lamb Ribs, Beef Burnt Ends, and Fried Mushrooms—all delicious! 🍄 The server recommended the mushrooms over onion rings, and they were huge and juicy! The Beef Burnt Ends were tender with a smoky crispness, and the lamb ribs were flavorful and generous. The upscale ambience and service edged it slightly above Joe’s. 2. Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The sign outside is humble, but the interior feels like a proper restaurant. It’s fast-casual style: order at the counter, grab your food, and find a seat. We got Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Sausage. Planned to just take a bite while packing, but ended up devouring three ribs on the spot! 🍖 The ambience is a notch below Jack Stack but still great. 3. Q39 Barbecue Taste: ⭐️⭐️✨ (2.5/5) Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rushed here straight from the airport 😅. Ordered the Beef Brisket and Burnt End Combo—disappointing at best. The beef was tender but had a faint odd gaminess, and the burnt ends were mediocre and dry. Needed BBQ sauce to mask the flavor. The best part was the Cucumber Onion Salad and onion straws (but too greasy to finish). Won’t order these again! ❌ Final Thoughts: Joe’s and Jack Stack serve different but equally crave-worthy dishes. Q39? Not returning. The burnt ends at Jack Stack redeemed KC BBQ for me! 🙌 #Kansas #BBQ #KansasCityFood #Barbecue #FoodieTravel
