Top Places to Visit in Boston 19/100
Bass Hole 🌿🌊 Even though it’s about an hour and a half drive from Boston, I still think Bass Hole is totally worth including in your must-visit list! 😍 On our way back, we also stopped by Heritage Museums & Gardens — a perfect detour to avoid the worst Cape Cod traffic. The scenery at Bass Hole is absolutely breathtaking — I couldn’t stop gasping the moment I stepped onto the boardwalk! 🛤️✨ Walking through the marshland, you hardly feel the summer heat, and before you know it, you’ve reached the end. That’s when I immediately broke out my snacks and started munching away 🍓🧺. The picnic basket was really just for the vibe — I’ve always been inspired by blogger-pofu’s outdoor photos. Somehow, any food just tastes better outside! This area is a salt marsh ecosystem, so you’ll spot plenty of crabs and shellfish 🦀🐚. We went during low tide, so the water was shallow and the crabs were everywhere! Kids were busy exploring the tidal pools, while adults relaxed on floats, drifting along with the current, soaking up the sun with a cold drink 🍹⛱️ — pure bliss! The best part? It’s not overdeveloped. Aside from the parking attendant and a lifeguard, there aren’t many staff around. Parking is very limited 🚗💨 — we saw a "Lot Full" sign and turned around, only to regret it later when we saw other cars going in! 😭 But on the walk back, we passed patches of wild red berries. I thought they were currants, but the leaves didn’t quite match… 🍒🌿 (Heads up — it can get buggy around dusk, so bring mosquito repellent or wear long sleeves! 🦟🧴 Also, let’s keep comments respectful — nature comes with bugs, and that’s totally normal!) P.S. Beer lovers should also check out Tree House Brewery on the way! 🍻😉 🏷️ #BassHole #CapeCod #NatureWalk #SaltMarsh #BostonDayTrip #OutdoorVibes
