Toronto actually has a free zoo!?
π Summer is almost over, so hop in your car and enjoy the outdoors! π Choosing a one-hour driving destination from Toronto is the most relaxing! π₯Ή A day trip thatβs fun, beautiful, and not traffic-jammed! π‘ Peterborough definitely makes the list!!! βοΈ Riverview Park & Zoo π Iβm sure many people have been to or heard of this zoo π¦ The zoo claims to have over 150 species from around the world (though I didnβt see that many when I wentβ¦) π¦ The animals are very outgoing and donβt hide from visitors π¦ They come up close for photo ops π You canβt feed or interact with them π But itβs free, so what more could you ask for! π§βπ§βπ§ There are a couple of childrenβs play areas inside, perfect for bringing the kids along βοΈ Trent University ποΈ Building a university on two sides of a river, how romantic is that? π Trent U is just next to the zoo! A two-minute drive π Might as well take a look since youβre here! π The campus is spacious with a bridge connecting the two sides π There were many rugby enthusiasts intensely sweating it out π Wutai Shan π§ββ‘οΈ I saw people of many different colors with devout hearts πͺ· Early morning check-in at the Wutai Shan scenic area completed in 2019 πΏ The scenery is beautiful, bathed in the light of Buddha, with expansive views 2οΈβ£0οΈβ£πͺ The parking fee lets you stay all day in the scenic area π Worship the Buddha, add incense oil, ring the temple bell, eat vegetarian food, take beautiful photos, and go for a little hike π¨ Although many sculptures and buildings are still under renovation π€€ The overall experience is top-notch, highly recommended for a visit Summer is almost over, so take advantage of the late summer sun and go for a road trip with your loved ones and friends! #Toronto #Canada #TorontoSurroundings #TorontoLife #TorontoFoodAndFun #TorontoWeekendGetaways #TorontoSmallTowns #RoadTrip #Zoo
