Toronto actually has a free zoo!?

🌞 Summer is almost over, so hop in your car and enjoy the outdoors! 🚙 Choosing a one-hour driving destination from Toronto is the most relaxing! 🥹 A day trip that’s fun, beautiful, and not traffic-jammed! 🏡 Peterborough definitely makes the list!!! ☝️ Riverview Park & Zoo 🐒 I’m sure many people have been to or heard of this zoo 🦙 The zoo claims to have over 150 species from around the world (though I didn’t see that many when I went…) 🦌 The animals are very outgoing and don’t hide from visitors 🦭 They come up close for photo ops 🙅 You can’t feed or interact with them 🆓 But it’s free, so what more could you ask for! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒 There are a couple of children’s play areas inside, perfect for bringing the kids along ✌️ Trent University 🏞️ Building a university on two sides of a river, how romantic is that? 📚 Trent U is just next to the zoo! A two-minute drive 👀 Might as well take a look since you’re here! 🌉 The campus is spacious with a bridge connecting the two sides 🏈 There were many rugby enthusiasts intensely sweating it out 👌 Wutai Shan 🧎‍➡️ I saw people of many different colors with devout hearts 🪷 Early morning check-in at the Wutai Shan scenic area completed in 2019 📿 The scenery is beautiful, bathed in the light of Buddha, with expansive views 2️⃣0️⃣🔪 The parking fee lets you stay all day in the scenic area 🙏 Worship the Buddha, add incense oil, ring the temple bell, eat vegetarian food, take beautiful photos, and go for a little hike 🔨 Although many sculptures and buildings are still under renovation 🤤 The overall experience is top-notch, highly recommended for a visit Summer is almost over, so take advantage of the late summer sun and go for a road trip with your loved ones and friends! #Toronto #Canada #TorontoSurroundings #TorontoLife #TorontoFoodAndFun #TorontoWeekendGetaways #TorontoSmallTowns #RoadTrip #Zoo
