Torquay | A Seaside Escape Near Exeter 🌊

Originally planned to go oyster picking 🦪 at Starcross, but upon arrival found no proper access point - plus we hadn't brought wellies or buckets 🪣. So we quickly changed course to Torquay instead! The train 🚄 from Exeter takes just 40 minutes, running right along the coastline with absolutely stunning views! Arriving in Torquay, you're immediately greeted by a long stretch of shoreline dotted with dogs 🐶 and kids 🧒🏻 everywhere. Walking along the beach, we saw groups happily cliff jumping, with parents egging their kids to take the plunge - hilarious! One dad charging into the waves with his son and dog - truly a "your dad is your biggest hazard" moment. Then there was this kid who randomly flopped down mid-run - pure comedy! Following the coast leads you to Princess Theatre where you'll find a Ferris wheel 🎡 and yachts ⛵️. Nearby Princess Gardens is perfect for some peaceful sitting and daydreaming ⛲️.
