I live just off of Exmouth's beach. There are several places where you can eat: The Grove, The Octagon, Aby's (The Channel View), The Pavilion, Ocean, Harbour View, Mickey's and a few others as well. We still have the public toilets by Ocean/Budgens opposite the Harbour View. Opposite the Pavilion gardens, between March and the start of September, there is a Ferris Wheel which is Exmouth's very own equivalent of the London Eye, the Exmouth Eye, where you get to see some views of the beach and/or the Marina from way up high. There are couple of play parks up along the beach, but one of them is actually further away from the beach than the other one is. There is now a place on the beach where you can buy some surfing equipment. It's opposite the Amusement Indoor Park and along the same row of buildings as Mickey's and a gelato bar next to it. You will be able to surf just off where you buy your own surf gear! Please note that surfing equipment is very expensive and you will need lessons in both surfing and windsurfing. Overall, the beach is mostly sand and sea, but there are some rocks that can be dangerous to step on. People swim in the sea during the Summer holidays because it can help them to cool down in such hot weather. Keep in mind, of course, that some areas of the beach sometimes have a red flag which means that it is unsafe to swim there. Some people on the beach have barbecues for picnicking on the beach (yes, the smell of the barbecue would be very appealing to some of us, as it is to me, but it can also attract pests such as seagulls.) Just beware of any animals around you when preparing for a BBQ. In all, I would welcome anyone who plans to go to Exmouth for...

The sand is pristine, and the water is crystal clear. It's apparent that the local authorities take pride in keeping this beach in top shape.
One of the best parts about this beach is its convenient location. It's just a short walk away from the shops and pubs in the town center. So, after spending a day sunbathing and swimming, it's easy to find somewhere to grab a bite to eat or have a refreshing drink.
