Touched a little kangaroo in Seattle! 🦘

On a drive towards North Cascades, I suddenly saw a sign that said “KANGAROOS 🦘➡️”. A quick online search revealed that there’s a small kangaroo farm here! Who would’ve thought you don’t need to go to Australia to pet a kangaroo? I’d been looking forward to it for a long time and finally picked a nice weekend to check it out. The little kangaroos were even cuter than I imagined 🥰 🎫 Adults $25 / Kids$15 🏠 Open only from Thursday to Sunday, with tours at 4 time slots: 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, 4:00 The farm has about a dozen kangaroos, along with other uncommon animals like lemurs, donkeys, lambs, peacocks, and more 🫏🐐🦚🐴🐇🦙🐖🐓. The farm owner gives each visitor some food to feed the animals, and you can pet and feed them all! There are red, gray, and white kangaroos, including baby kangaroos, mother kangaroos, father kangaroos, and even single kangaroos haha. I saw a mother kangaroo licking her joey in her pouch, so tiny and pink! I learned for the first time that there are many varieties of kangaroos. The ones that look fierce are called kangaroos, the cute-looking ones are called wallaroos, and the small, cute ones are called wallabies. They all look so lazy and relaxed. The farm owner gives everyone leaves that kangaroos love to eat, so you can feed them while giving them a good scratch 🌿 Most of the visitors were families with kids. The most popular kangaroo among the kids had to be this little white one, super super cute! Maybe because it’s the smallest, it looked extra adorable lounging in the corner, with all the kids competing to feed it leaves. #SeattleSurroundings #WhiteKangaroo #SeattleWeekend
