Toulouse Sacred Sites Pilgrimage ⛪️
First Stop of the Southern France Trip: Toulouse 🇫🇷 Summary of experiences from my trip to Southwest and Northern Europe 🇪🇺 Three must-sees for traveling in Europe: churches, museums, and castles (all the money in the villages is spent on these) Couvent des Jacobins 🅿️1-5 A landmark historical building in Toulouse, France. Its 28-meter-high palm tree-shaped columns distinguish it from the intricate styles of the north. The simple and vertical line style is unique among religious buildings worldwide. Basilique Notre-Dame de la Daurade 🅿️6-10 It combines Romanesque and neoclassical elements. The interior decoration features golden mosaics and murals, especially the well-preserved pipe organ and classical-style carvings, showcasing the exquisiteness of religious art (the best of the day 💕). Basilique Saint-Sernin 🅿️11-15 One of the largest remaining Romanesque churches in the world and the largest rectangular church in Europe. The exterior of the building is simple and solemn, and the interior space is magnificent, embodying the Romanesque architecture's pursuit of balance and harmony. Cathédrale Saint-Étienne 🅿️16-17 It integrates Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance styles. The Gothic rose window with a diameter of 10 meters is one of the oldest of its kind in Europe, representing the peak of 13th-century glass craftsmanship. Place du Capitole 🅿️18 The old town is not big, so you'll always pass by it. The square at the entrance is like a village fair with many stalls. #Travel #Tourism #ToulouseTravel #ToulouseTourism
