Travel Diary | Savannah 2-Day Guide

Travel Diary | Savannah 2-Day Guide ✨ Food 🍽️ The Collins Quarter 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An extremely popular internet-famous brunch spot, and it truly lives up to the hype! I got the seasonal Pistachio Affogato and the amazingly delicious chia seed sago pudding~ I wanted to go for a second visit the next day, but was told these are on the brunch menu and unavailable after 3 PM. What a shame 😢. 🍽️ Common restaurant 🌟🌟🌟 This place requires advance booking. We only managed to get a spot for lunch, with the brunch menu available. Highly recommend the grilled oysters 🦪—so fresh they’ll make your taste buds sing! 🦀 The Juicy Seafood 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A super cost-effective Cajun-style seafood spot! The oysters were just so-so, but the snow crab and shrimp were absolutely satisfying~ I’ve been obsessed with Cajun flavors ever since. It’s incredible 🤤! 🍽️ The Olde Pink House Reservations are needed, but being a laid-back "P-person," I found a way—just walk in and sit at the seats by the bar~ The ambiance is elegant and worth a try 🍷. 🍦 Leopolds Ice Cream A must-visit! The ice cream from this century-old shop is truly legendary—creamy texture and amazing flavor 🍨. 🚶 Citywalk & Shopping Who would’ve thought the first thing I did in Savannah was buy a new outfit 😂? It was like getting a "travel look upgrade." Even though it was made in China, the store’s aesthetic is on point~ The shop is called Red Clover Boutique, highly recommended for a visit! Starting from Red Clover Boutique, I went in search of Chippewa Square, the filming location of Forrest Gump, and also wanted to check out the Cathedral Basilica—unfortunately, it was under renovation when we went 😭. Along the way, I visited The Stachel, a local leather goods brand. I’d seen their ads at the airport and was drawn to them. The leather quality is excellent, and everything is handcrafted. I couldn’t resist buying a small item 👜. A short walk away is The Book Lady Bookstore, with a great vintage shop upstairs. They have many beautiful patchwork denim skirts, which are very unique 👗. I wandered all the way to the fountain in the central park. Savannah is really small—just mark all the places you want to visit on Google Maps and wander freely. It doesn’t matter if you retrace your steps~ Little secret: The restrooms at SCAD are stunning, almost like check-in spots 🚻! 🐬 Dolphin Watching Trip We chose Captain Derek‘s Dolphin Adventure, booking directly through Google Maps~ When we booked, there was only one spot left, but we called and managed to get an extra one. So lucky ✨! It’s $40 per person. The dolphins’ habitat is close to the coast, and we got to enjoy a stunning sunset along the way. It’s an absolutely worthwhile experience 🌇! 🌅 Watching "Sunrise" at Tybee Island You can’t see the sunrise in downtown Savannah, so what we saw at Tybee Island was actually the morning glow. But the early morning coastline was still breathtaking~ Waiting for dawn while feeling the sea breeze was so healing 🌊. 🚗 Transportation I didn’t plan to rent a car initially, intending to just do citywalk, but I ended up walking in to rent a car from Enterprise to go to Tybee Island~ It was totally worth it for the sunrise and sunset! The only downside is that the parking deck is too expensive—$50 for one night. Ouch 💸. 🏨 Accommodation We stayed at the Marriott AC Hotel. It’s relatively new, a bit out of the way, but very comfortable to stay in and offers good value for money 👍. #Savannah#TravelGuide#USATravel#FoodExploration
