Treasure Shop | Cincinnati | Italian Wood-Fired Pizza

Recommending my favorite local Italian restaurant from the past few years šŸšŸ”„ Camporosso šŸ“ 2475 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017 Let’s start with the downside—it’s always packed during meal times, filled with locals (mostly white crowds), so be prepared to wait. But if you love pizza, pasta, and Italian desserts, it’s totally worth it! šŸ• They offer two types of pizza: American-style and Italian wood-fired. I’ve never tried the American one, but their wood-fired pizza is authentic and highly recommended. Just a heads-up: my standard for ā€œauthenticā€ is based on two small pizzerias I tried in Milan. I’ve only had it twice there, so take my opinion with a grain of salt! Compared to American electric-oven pizza, wood-fired pizza is less greasy, has charred spots on the crust, and requires more skill from the pizzaiolo. Camporosso’s pizza is fragrant, thin, and crispy—so good that you can easily finish a whole one by yourself. šŸ… Their "Italian Inspired Chili" had me wondering if it was actually borscht… and sure enough, it turned out to be a super tangy, tomato-rich chili. Let’s just call it "Borscht-Style Chili" šŸ˜‚ šŸ° Now, the tiramisu! It’s rich but not overly heavy, made in the classic style. The balance between coffee, cocoa bitterness, and creamy sweetness is perfect—texture and sweetness are both on point. The server honestly told me it’s not made in-house but ordered from a bakery. Even with that in mind, I was blown away. It’s way better than some weird creative versions out there. The most popular order among Americans is actually the pasta. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve included some photos for reference. The atmosphere inside is lively and a bit noisy. The service is friendly, but the overall vibe feels like a cozy '90s-era diner. At least you get to watch the cute guys flexing their biceps while kneading dough and tossing pizzas into the fire oven šŸ˜ #Cincinnati #UniversityOfCincinnati #CincinnatiFood #StudyInUSA #InternationalStudent #HandmadePizza #ItalianCuisine #CincinnatiDesserts #CincinnatiFoodReview #Tiramisu #Pizza #Cincinnati #WoodFiredPizza
