Trip to Texas’ Cowboy Country

I really love Texas so much 🥰!Who can understand the joy of wearing short sleeves in Texas while Toronto is covered in snow!! ❄️☀️Plus, the prices in Texas are pretty low—such a budget-friendly destination. This travel guide is for a relaxed-style trip (mainly because most places in Texas close at 7 or 8 PM, leaving no room for late-night adventures 😂).For friends who don’t know where to go for Christmas, this foolproof guide is for you!Route: Houston → San Antonio → Austin 🌟 Day 1: Arrival - Thai Food - Church - Back to Accommodation to Rest After landing at noon, we headed straight for Thai food, then checked in at our first iconic spot. ⛪️ Chapel of St. Basil This church is located on a university campus. Its black-and-white minimalist design gives it a retro yet modern vibe, boasting incredible architectural beauty and being super photogenic 📸. (Since it’s a Catholic university, you’ll spot many nun teachers around—such a unique sight!) 🌟 Day 2: NASA - Kemah Beach Town 🚀 NASA There are three areas that require taking the park shuttle to visit, each with its own highlights: ✅ Apollo Moon Landing Mission Control Center: You need to book this a week in advance, and it’s an extra-charge experience—definitely worth it for space fans though! ✅ Rocket Park: It has real rocket displays both indoors and outdoors, letting you get up close to these giants that once soared into the cosmos 🌌. ✅ Work Visit Area: It’s recommended to get a boarding pass from the front desk as soon as you enter the park, which will make your visit smoother. All in all, NASA is highly recommended. Take your time to wander around and feel the romance and grandeur of the universe—it’s an unforgettable experience. 🏖️ Kemah Beach Town It’s a 15-minute drive from NASA. The town has a huge amusement park with a full range of rides, and the all-inclusive ticket is only over 20 dollars—super cost-effective 🎡! On weekends, you can also take a boat trip out to sea, with the last departure at 5:30 PM. I loved strolling along the sea-facing promenade the most; the sea breeze and sunshine were so cozy and relaxing 😌. There are also many seafood markets nearby, and the seafood there is basically at “vegetable prices” (super cheap and fresh 🍤). 🌟 Day 3: Sky Garden - The Galleria Mall - San Antonio 🏬 Post Houston The first floor is a food stall area with tons of delicious treats, giving me the lively vibe of Changsha’s food streets 🥘. The rooftop is a sky garden, offering a bird’s-eye view of Houston’s downtown skyline. Right now, there’s also a huge Christmas tree next to it—another great photo spot 🎄! 🛍️ The Galleria Mall It’s said to be the seventh-largest shopping mall in the US, and it does have a complete range of brands. There’s even an ice rink inside! The giant face sculpture at the mall entrance has a strong sci-fi and techy feel 🤖. (I didn’t bring enough clothes, so my girlfriends and I spent the whole afternoon here shopping—hahaha 😝.) 🚖 San Antonio The drive from Houston to San Antonio takes 5 hours, so we just rested and went to bed right after arriving, saving energy for the next day’s adventures. #US #Texas #Houston
