Trust DTSA – An Honest Chef’s Table Experience Near Irvine 👨‍🍳

A restaurant that truly feels made for food lovers. 📍 Location: Santa Ana 💰 Price: Valentine’s Day menu was $300 per person But here’s the catch — that includes tax, tip, AND wine pairing! Paid in full via Tock in advance, so you can just enjoy and leave when done. The space is intimate — just a single bar counter with 18 seats. Only four staff members: two chefs, one kitchen assistant, and a front-of-house host who also pours wine. The head chef gives a detailed intro to every dish at the start (because later, things move fast!), then briefly explains each course as it’s served. And the wine? They’ll keep pouring as long as you’re sipping 🍷. Unlike many fine dining spots, there’s no overly polished service — No synchronized plating, no replacing all your cutlery between courses. They even reuse your glass if you don’t finish your wine — it’s refreshingly unfussy and feels like every dollar goes straight into the food. And what food it is — the ingredients speak for themselves. The menu is incredibly generous and includes: Wellington (blows Hell’s Kitchen out of the water — with real foie gras inside, not the fake CA version)💕😁 Two desserts Every dish could easily be a main course elsewhere. Even a big eater won’t leave hungry — no need for a McDonald’s run after this! 😆 They also rotate themed menus Tuesday–Thursday: Our visit featured lots of caviar dishes because Wednesday was caviar-themed (we lucked out with Kaluga!).👍😍 They’ve also done New England themes (think chowders and fish) and Wagyu themes. Makes you want to come back just to try a different concept! #HiddenGem #RestaurantRecommendation #ChefsTable #FineDining #SantaAnaEats #OCFood
