Try Rome's Popular Tonnarello
馃搷 V. della Paglia, 1/2/3, 00153 Roma RM, Italy We visited the Tonnarello Scala branch, just a two-minute walk from the main restaurant. Dish Reviews: Tonnarello Carbonara 馃クYou can鈥檛 visit Rome without trying authentic Carbonara! Their pasta is handmade tonnarello (thick spaghetti), perfectly al dente. 馃崯The sauce鈥攁 smooth, rich blend of egg yolk and pecorino cheese鈥攊s aromatic with that distinctively pungent yet delicious pecorino fragrance. 馃 Focaccia Listed as "homemade bread" on the menu, this was a delightful surprise. My friend, who usually avoids "dry bread," had her expectations completely overturned. 馃嵃 Served fresh from the oven, the edges were slightly crispy with a delightful olive aroma. 鈿狅笍 Skip These:馃崱 Meatballs in Oxtail Sauce. Extremely salty鈥攅ven for someone with a preference for bold flavors, it was nearly inedible. 馃ガ Fried Artichokes (Carciofi Fritti): Not to our taste, and the edges were slightly bitter from overcooking. 馃嵁 Strawberry Panna Cotta: Overly sweet, including the strawberry jam. #ItalianFood #ItalianCuisine #RomeTravel
