Tulsa Check-In: Natural Falls State Park
🌿 1-Hour Drive from the City | Natural Falls State Park It’s just a 1-hour drive from home to this hidden gem nestled in the Ozark Highlands of northeastern Oklahoma. In the middle of summer, it’s a total natural summer retreat— the most stunning sight is the 77-foot-tall waterfall, cascading down from the valley. The mist brushes your face, and you feel instantly cool 🧊! The park has several hiking trails. We picked up a map at the visitor center and randomly chose one called Bear Trail. I asked the staff seriously, “Will we see bears on this trail?” She laughed and replied, “No, but deer, little squirrels, and lots of small animals are regulars here 🦌🐿️.” Her smile warmed my heart—such a gentle and friendly chat! There were little surprises along the way: blue-green dragonflies 🦋, dead-leaf butterflies, turtles slowly sunbathing 🐢, wild blackberries 🍓, perilla… Put on sandals and you can even wade through the stream for a bit— the water is icy cold, making it feel like you’ve stumbled into a summer version of a “peach blossom spring” (a peaceful paradise). The biggest surprise? We found five huge yurt-style camping tents, equipped with air conditioning and microwaves— total “luxury camping” vibes 🏕️! When the weather cools down a bit, I’d really love to invite friends for an overnight stay, falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall 🌙. 📍 Natural Falls State Park is a small but amazing spot. I recommend it to anyone who loves nature, quiet, and a little bit of adventure! Don’t forget to bring a few friends along— it’ll be even more fun with company 😊! #TulsaTravel #NaturalFallsStatePark #OklahomaOutdoors #SummerGetaway #HikingAdventures #CampingVibes #USStateParks
