UCI Area Chinese & Korean Food Guide 🍜🍚

⭐️ Fast Hot Pot (in UTC) – First pic: Golden Soup with Fish Maw Chicken + two dry spicy mixed pots; Second pic: Chengdu-style mala pot with tomato and bone broth bases. ~$25 per person. ⭐️ Northeastern Chinese Restaurant (near UTC Target parking lot) – Three of us ordered four dishes for ~$60+. Portions are huge! ⭐️ BBQ Chicken – Korean fried chicken spot. Highly recommend! Perfect with our DIY drinks 🥤 ⭐️ Kare (also in UTC) – Japanese-style curry rice. A bit salty but very filling—lots of carbs, so you’ll get full fast! ⭐️ Kuan Zhai (near Spectrum Center) – Sichuan restaurant. We ordered: ginger rabbit, maoxuewang, dry pot intestines, stir-fried beef with peppers, and seasonal veggies. Five people couldn’t finish—took three dishes home. A la carte is pricier, but with a group it’s ~$25–30 per person. ⭐️ Last pic is from shopping at Albertsons 🛒 — BTW, Häagen-Dazs pistachio ice cream is insanely good 😋 Bye for now, Irvine! 👋 #Irvine #IrvineFood #UCIEats #ChineseFood #KoreanFood #FoodGuide #UTC #SpectrumCenter
