🌄Udo Island Has Jeju’s Most Beautiful Sea—No Contest!

The first four photos are from Udo Island’s White Sand Beach—no filters, no retouching, and it’s still stunning. This spot is totally worth the visit! The crowd isn’t too big, and you can even see haenyeo (female divers) working in the sea. You could easily spend a whole day here—unfortunately, I joined a tour, so we were pressed for time.☀️ Tour pros: No need to worry about logistics—everything is arranged for you, and you skip the lines.☀️ Our guide said Udo Island only has around 1,000 households, and the entire island has just 83 students. Even in elementary school, each student gets their own teacher—how lucky is that! But Udo’s prices are higher than Jeju’s main island: a bowl of seafood noodles costs over 80 RMB, and a tiny peanut ice cream is about 30 . 🚤The speedboat is a must-do! Every penny is worth it—it’s so thrilling, I didn’t want it to end. The sea is deep and a beautiful turquoise blue; you have to see it with your own eyes to truly appreciate it. Going into the sea caves felt a bit spooky, like there was “mystical fog” lingering—so cool! 🏖️Other coastal spots, especially beaches, are way too crowded and not as clean. It might also be because the other areas I visited were on cloudy days, so the photos didn’t turn out well—but the crowds were definitely a problem. I could barely take any pictures without people in the frame. 🏖️Woljeongri is nice too, but it’s super crowded. Another thing: Jeju’s coastal attractions are much smaller and more compact than those in China—Hyeopjae Beach, for example, has such a small stretch of sea, but it’s packed with people, shoulder to shoulder.🍊 In short, Udo Island is a non-negotiable stop—it’s that good.
