Unexpected Discovery of a Hidden Gem Restaurant in Rome 🍽️✨

On our last day in Rome, we celebrated my little one's 4th birthday and quickly chose a restaurant near our hotel with a 4.9 rating. After dining at several carefully selected places during our six days in Italy and finding them to be just average, we didn’t have high hopes. However, it turned out to be our favorite restaurant! 🎉🎂 First, we made a reservation for fear of not getting a table and mentioned it was for a child’s birthday. The owner promptly confirmed our booking. When we arrived, there was a large handwritten sign in a prominent spot saying “Happy Birthday XXX,” which was such a delightful surprise! 🎈 Now, let’s talk about the most important dishes: Beef slices with porcini mushrooms: The porcini were fragrant, and the beef slices were incredibly tender. Everyone loved this dish, and it was voted the best of the night! Although the portion was small, it was reasonably priced at around 18 or 19 euros. Lobster pasta: The flavor of the shrimp was intense and completely released into the pasta. It was much better than the lobster risotto we had a few days earlier in Florence! 🦞🍝 Assorted shrimp sashimi platter and oysters: All were fresh and delicious. It's a great appetizer, but it won't fill you up. Grilled lamb chops: Still delicious! The fried potatoes had a unique fruity flavor. However, the other dishes outshone this one a bit. A type of bread recommended by the restaurant: It resembled naan from back home and was quite tasty! Baby octopus jar: It looked adorable and seemed to contain some mashed potatoes. It was quite unique and tasted good. 🐙💖 I heard the tiramisu is also excellent, but since we wanted to save room for cake, we didn’t order it. In total, we spent 258 euros for five people, which felt quite reasonable. Everyone left very satisfied! 😊💰 Interestingly, we were there from 7 to after 9 PM, and we kept praising the food, but the entire restaurant had hardly any other customers. This puzzled us! The owner mentioned they’ve only been open for a year, making it a relatively new restaurant. With a Google rating of 4.9 and over 200 reviews, this high score is well-deserved, but the popularity is seriously underrated! Everyone should go try it! 🌟 #ItalianCuisine #Dining
