Vietnam 🇻🇳 Long Son Pagoda White Great Buddha 🙏

Starting from Long Son Pagoda, following the path along the mountaintop that leads to Hai Duc Temple, there stands a large white concrete statue of the Maitreya Buddha. 🏛️ This statue was built on the site of the original temple, cast in 1964, and then installed the following year under the supervision of Thich Duc Minh, the head of the Buddhist Association in Khanh Hoa Province. 🗓️ The sculpture was created by Kim Diep. Starting from the ground, the statue is 24 meters high, with 21 meters from the base to the lotus throne. The image of the Buddha is 14 meters, and the lotus is 7 meters. 🌟 Surrounding the statue are seven statues of arahants. In front of the statue, there is a pair of dragons, each 7.20 meters long. The statue is visible from a distance when people enter the city by national highway or train. 🚄🛣️ The temple grounds also include a garden. The entrance and roof are decorated with dragon mosaics made of glass and tiles. The main ceremonial hall is adorned with modern interpretations of classical themes. The dragon's whiskers are entwined around the pillars on either side of the main altar. The main statue is situated on 152 stone steps, which are often used as a vantage point to overlook the city of Nha Trang. 🌄 Climbing the mountain is not tiring, but there are many people (Koreans). 🧗 The items sold by the vendors on the mountain are actually a bit cheaper.
