Visiting Kimberly Crest House & Gardens 🏰🌷
Kimberly Crest House & Gardens, located in Redlands, California, was built in 1897. This elegant French-style château is surrounded by Italian Renaissance gardens and is celebrated as an architectural and horticultural gem of Southern California. In 1905, it was purchased by John Alfred Kimberly, co-founder of Kimberly-Clark, and his wife Helen Cheney Kimberly. In 1909, Helen commissioned the design of the stunning Italian-style gardens you see today—complete with fountains, statues, terraces, and a koi pond. 🐟💫 Their daughter, Mary Kimberly Shirk, later donated the estate and surrounding land to the public. The house spans approximately 7,000 square feet with 22 rooms. Its Victorian castle-like design features French château elements, soaring roofs, towers, and beautifully carved windows. 🏛️✨ 📌 Visitor Info: Address: 1325 Prospect Drive, Redlands, CA Garden Hours: Mon–Fri & Sun, 10:00–16:00 (free entry) Guided House Tours: Thu, Fri, Sun, 13:00–16:00 (tours every 30 mins).
