📍Washington, D.C. ☘️
Washington is the cleanest American city I’ve ever seen — even the trash cans are spotless! 🚮 Shared bikes and scooters are everywhere. One of the most fun things we did was matching the buildings to U.S. bills! 💵 $50 bill: U.S. Capitol Building $20 bill: White House $10 bill: Department of the Treasury $5 bill: Lincoln Memorial 🏛️ U.S. Capitol Building My favorite architecture in D.C.! We didn’t book in advance — got in line before 8:30 AM. It was crowded and security was strict (no food or water allowed!). There’s an underground tunnel that leads to… 📚 Library of Congress You need a timed reservation (free) to enter. We booked an afternoon slot but scanned our code at 10 AM — and it worked! 🤫 Maybe the timing isn’t super strict — just having a QR code is enough. ⛲ Washington Monument You can get a great shot from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, further back from the Reflecting Pool. There are 50 flags around the monument representing the 50 states. 🏴☠️ To go up, you need reservations way in advance! 🏰 The White House We lucked out — the tulips were in full bloom! 🌷🌷 If you want an interior tour, you need to contact your member of Congress at least 3 months ahead and provide personal info for a background check. #WashingtonDC #WhiteHouse #CapitolBuilding #USCurrency #USA #WashingtonMonument #CityWalk #LincolnMemorial
