Washington, D.C. Brunch at Opal š½ļø
Finally got to try Opal, a restaurant Iāve had on my list for ages! The reason I hadnāt visited sooner is that itās a bit out of the way in D.C., closer to Bethesda. Thereās no Metro nearby, so driving is the way to go. The good news is that parking is pretty convenientāthereās a Safeway across the street with plenty of spots. š Opal offers a weekend Brunch Course for $35, which includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert. For an additional $17, you can get bottomless drinks. š„ For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Salad š„ and Oysters. The staff were attentive and even split the dishes into two portions for sharing. š„° The Oysters were amazingāsuch creative sauces that Iāve never tasted anywhere else. The Crab Salad was also delicious and refreshing! The main courses, Risotto and Eggs Benedict, were solid. The Benedict was served on biscuits, which were a delightful surprise! š„§ For dessert, the Lemon Pie was very refreshing but a bit on the sweet side. The Tiramisu was huge and less sweet than the Lemon Pie, with a delicious sauce on top. š Average cost per person: $60. Considering the three-course meal plus drinks, it felt like a great value. Iāll definitely be back! The ambiance was lovely, and since the weather was perfect, we chose to sit outside. The indoor decor is also very nice. š #WashingtonDCFood #DMVEats #WashingtonDCWeekend #DMVExploration #DMVCuisine
