Washington, D.C. Brunch at Opal šŸ½ļø

Finally got to try Opal, a restaurant I’ve had on my list for ages! The reason I hadn’t visited sooner is that it’s a bit out of the way in D.C., closer to Bethesda. There’s no Metro nearby, so driving is the way to go. The good news is that parking is pretty convenient—there’s a Safeway across the street with plenty of spots. šŸš— Opal offers a weekend Brunch Course for $35, which includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert. For an additional $17, you can get bottomless drinks. šŸ„‚ For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Salad šŸ„— and Oysters. The staff were attentive and even split the dishes into two portions for sharing. 🄰 The Oysters were amazing—such creative sauces that I’ve never tasted anywhere else. The Crab Salad was also delicious and refreshing! The main courses, Risotto and Eggs Benedict, were solid. The Benedict was served on biscuits, which were a delightful surprise! 🄧 For dessert, the Lemon Pie was very refreshing but a bit on the sweet side. The Tiramisu was huge and less sweet than the Lemon Pie, with a delicious sauce on top. šŸ˜‹ Average cost per person: $60. Considering the three-course meal plus drinks, it felt like a great value. I’ll definitely be back! The ambiance was lovely, and since the weather was perfect, we chose to sit outside. The indoor decor is also very nice. šŸŒž #WashingtonDCFood #DMVEats #WashingtonDCWeekend #DMVExploration #DMVCuisine
