【DMV】A Super Delicious Uyghur Food Discovery During DC's Cherry Blossom Season! Came to DC to see the cherry blossoms—and the crowds! 😅🌸 Though blossom-viewing was a bit exhausting, the foodie in me was thrilled to discover amazing Uyghur/Xinjiang cuisine in Falls Church! Probably the best I’ve had in the US so far. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Price: We ordered a lot—about $40 per person including tax and tip. Address: Dolan Uyghur Restaurant, 400 S Maple Ave Suite 105, Falls Church, VA 22046 Beef Noodles (Mixed) 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ So flavorful! A tangy tomato-based sauce with well-seasoned beef—highly recommend! 🍜 Do you prefer noodle dishes with a sour or spicy kick? Beef Pilaf (Lamb Option Available) 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Since I don’t love lamb, I went for beef—delicious and not too salty! The rice was a bit firm for me, but that’s just personal preference. Still, a must-try! 🍚 Are you a rice texture person—soft or firm? Spicy Sichuan Chicken 🌟🌟🌟✨ Solid and tasty, but not mind-blowing. Good if you like numbing-spicy flavors! Kebabs 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Tried both chicken and lamb skewers. The chicken was super tender and juicy—loved it! The lamb was also well-made (though I’m biased against lamb 😅). What’s your go-to kebab meat? Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi) 🌟🌟✨ The sauce was tasty, but the noodles were a bit dry. Could be better. Grilled Lamb 🌟🌟🌟✨ A full pound—big portion! My friends enjoyed it, but I’m just not a lamb fan. Lamb lovers, give it a try! Desserts Honey cake was addictive—couldn’t stop after one bite! 🍯🍰 Baklava was authentic but a bit too sweet and oily for my Chinese palate.
